The Dog Training Journey of Christopher Banke

Christopher Banke
If anyone is wondering how someone as seemingly young as Christopher Banke could possibly have about three decades of dog training experience under his belt, it’s because he started out when he was extremely young. He was just 15 when he was training his Doberman, Dana and he caught the interest of an older trainer, who decided to take him under her win. That trainer, Margarete Iaquinto, also encouraged him to make a change that would mark the rest of his career. Well, so far, anyway. Chris Banke had founded the Algemeiner Schutzhund Club and she recommended that he focus his training skills on German Shepherds.

That was the beginning of a series of fortuitous events, and it wasn’t long before he was being talked about as one of the most important trainers anywhere in the country. Over the course of the next 30 years or so, Christopher Banke has managed to maintain that level of skill and commitment by working hard and training many dogs. Even before he had turned 20, Chris had opened his own dog training business, “Chris Banke Protection Dog Trainer” at a facility in northern Vermont. .That business is still going strong and is very busy, as is his kennel, considered one of the best anywhere.
